Submit your Act of Kindness
Faith Family Club will focus on Community in November. We invite you to join us in a challenge to spread kindness and love to others in the month leading up to Thanksgiving. We introduce our November Community Project, BUTTERBALL our Grace TURKEY. Please help us make a difference for our co-workers, neighbors and community…Love your neighbor and spread kindness!
Please share each ACT you, your children, or that you witness with us at
or on our Grace Website Gracesiouxcity.org.
Any ACTS can be submitted anonymously. We will collect these ACTS(FEED) and add one pound to Butterball! Let’s see how BIG he can get.
Butterball is a symbol of the collective energy for families of all ages to be inspired to perform Acts of Kindness.
At this time, when so much of our community and our country (and even our social circles) feels divided, we want our church to spread kindness and show love to people whose paths we cross every day.
A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by kind people to either help or cheer up a random stranger, for no reason other than to make people happier. They can either be spontaneous or planned in advance. Every small interaction with someone is an opportunity to have a positive impact on both of your lives!

Although we all have differing opinions, at the heart of everything we are all human and every one of us (regardless of our opinions) is deserving of kindness and respect. Feed for Butterball by looking for ways each day that you can do random acts of kindness to people you cross paths with.
Below are some ideas for random acts of kindness:
Give someone a compliment
Open a door for someone
Smile at every person you see today
Do something special for someone you live or work with
Buy cookies or donuts for your neighbor
Start a meeting with a round table of celebrations and gratitude
Volunteer in your community
Donate food or money to Grace United Methodist Food Pantry
Forgive someone you have had issues with in the past
Thank someone in your life you may have taken for granted
Take a break from all digital devices for a day
Buy coffee for the person behind you in the drive-through lane
Post a “spread kindness” message on your Facebook page or leave an inspiring message somewhere in your workplace or in the community for others to randomly discover
Pick up litter in your neighborhood or park
