"It is more blessed to give than receive" Acts 20:35
The Missions Committee is open to anyone who wants to serve as a member.
Meetings are usually held monthly in the Large Conference Room on the 1st Wednesday of the month.
There are also opportunities to serve by joining the Mission Committee, or by assisting with the planning and organization of our mission projects and fundraisers. We welcome new ideas and want to reach out for more hands on missions projects to affect our local and global communities.
Look for our upcoming missions board to share your ideas and see Gods Good Work being done. For more information please contact Larry Martin at
Needed: Breakfast pantry items please.
Grace United Methodist will be having a curbside food pantry available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Look for the signs and a volunteer will come with a bag for your family. No need to get out of your car.
Donations can also be received at this time. Please contact the church office for questions.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
THANK YOU for supporting our 2020 “Virtual” CROP Hunger Walk!!
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
What a year we have had with the pandemic! But it didn’t stop us from having a Zoom Recruiters’ Rally, a successful virtual CROP Walk and a fun Drive Down Hunger car parade! Mission work continues, perhaps even more so during the pandemic, but it is a challenge for all of us. Thank you for doing the best that you could, under the circumstances! Mark your calendars now for next year’s CROP event on Oct 17, 2021, (always 3rd Sunday in Oct), which hopefully will be “normal”.
Outstanding 2020 Summary reports are showing $19,192 donations (compared to $27,450 last year), plus 915 pounds (compared to 479 lbs last year) of donated food & supplies for the food pantry at CAAS. Online contributions this year so far are $5275, and we have $675 from employer matching gifts. Top churches are Fist Methodist $3825, Wesley Methodist $3484, Morningside Lutheran $3330 and Grace Methodist $3090. Again our #1 individual donation-getter is Fran Cole with $3055. North Middle excelled with 260 students from PE classes CROP-walking, and Morningside College soccer teams had 65 CROP walkers!
