The Missions Committee is back!
"It is more blessed to give than receive" Acts 20:35

​There are also opportunities to serve by joining the Mission Committee, or by assisting with the planning and organization of our mission projects and fundraisers. We welcome new ideas and want to reach out for more hands on missions projects to affect our local and global communities. 

Look for our upcoming missions board to share your ideas and see Gods Good Work being done. For more information please contact our Grace office at 712-276-3452

The Food Pantry at Grace is open Monday's and Wednesday's from 9am - Noon. Assistance is given to those in need once a month. A photo ID and a mailing document showing the persons current address is required.

If you would like to donate to the Food Pantry, please bring the items to the church office. Items needed are:

Canned vegetables & fruits, soups, canned meat, rice, pasta, sauces, cereals, pancake mixes & syrup, juice, meals in a can, boxed dinners, etc...

Donations can also be received at this time. Please contact the church office for questions.

Personal Care Cupboard
Do to the need of non-food items, the members of 1st UMC, Sioux City have created a Personal Care Cupboard which stocks these items. The cupboard is open on Wednesdays from 5-6pm and Thursdays from 2-3 pm at 1st UMC, 1915 Nebraska St., Sioux City IA. Each month the members of Grace collect items to be given to the Personal Care Cupboard. Items can be brought to Grace and placed in the red mission wheelbarrow located in the Parlor.

  • January - Body Wash and Body Soap
  • February - Paper Towels and Kleenex
  • March - Diapers, Sizes 4,5 & 6
  • April - Household Cleaners
  • May - Deodorants
  • June - Toilet Paper
  • July - Toothbrushes and Toothpaste
  • August - Razors and Shaving Cream
  • September - Household cleaners
  • October - Toilet Paper
  • November - Liquid Dish Soap
  • December - Shampoo and Conditioner

Student Kit
  • 3 Notebooks - 1 subject spiral 8’x10 ½’
  • 1 pencil eraser 2” or larger, remove package
  • 1 pair of student round tip scissors, remove package
  • 1 pencil sharpener 1”, remove package
  • 1 box of 12 colored pencils
  • 1 ruler 12” long with metric
  • 6 unsharpened pencils
  • 1 box of 24 crayons
​ Place in cloth bag with one handle. VALUE with items in one-handle cloth bag $16 plus $2 shipping Kits without cloth bags, contact your district representative Empty one-handle cloth bag VALUE $6 plus donation for shipping.
LAYETTE KIT
Items must be new and 0-6 months in size.
•     6 Cloth Diapers*
•     2 Gowns or Sleepers*
•     2 Onesies or Undershirts
•     2 Infant Washcloths — No Adult Washcloths
•     6 Diaper Pins — Must Have Protective Plastic Closures
• 1 sweater* -- or jacket with front opening
•     2 Receiving Blankets—28” x 28” to 32” x 32” (no fleece or thermal)
• $2 donation for diaper cream
Do not send items with camouflage fabrics.
Personal Dignity Kit “PDK”
 1 Bath Hand Towel – No Kitchen Towels
 1 Bath Washcloth – No Dishcloths
 1 Adult Toothbrush – No Multipacks
 1 Bar Soap – 3-4 oz
 1 Shampoo – 12-19oz (secure lid with packing tape)
 1 Deodorant – 2-3oz (stick, roll on, or pump)
 1 Lotion - 8-10 oz (secure lid with packing tape)
 1 One Gallon Re-sealable Plastic Bag


**Please place all items in a re-sealable plastic bag
**Add a $2 Donation for a Razor,
