VISION 2032 WITH BISHOP LAURIE HALLER
Saturday, January 18, 2020
10:30 AM -11:30 AM
WHO ARE THE PURL’S OF FAITH?
The Purls of Faith are folks who come together to refresh skills or just come to lean to Knit. We are from various churches, have various skill levels, share patterns, help each other, visit, laugh, and just have a wonderful time together. All are welcomed.
We meet on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor. We will also gather at 6:30 p.m. in the church library for Wednesday Grace Night Activities. If you have questions, phone Glendy Nichols at 712-212-9410.
The word “confirm” means “to make something stronger or more certain”.
In the process of Confirmation at Grace United Methodist Church, a young person is invited to explore how to strengthen their relationship with God…and with others. Confirmation is not a set of classes to complete… it’s more about connections students build with family, other students, the facilitators of the process and, of course, with God.
Confirmation classes, for students in the 7th grade and beyond, will happen on Sunday afternoons from 1-3 p.m. beginning January 12.
The sessions are scheduled for every Sunday from Jan. 12-May 3, with the exception of April 12, Easter Sunday.
Confirmation Sunday will be May 10 at the 10 a.m. worship experience.
If you’re aware of a student/family who might be interested in Confirmation through Grace, please contact Pastor Jim as soon as possible.
VISION 2032 WITH BISHOP LAURIE
It’s now time for part 2 and Bishop Laurie is coming to Grace for one of the sessions to share specific recommendations related to budget and staffing for the future and receive your input.
The event will happen on the morning of
Jan. 18 from 10:30 a.m.to 11:30 a.m.
